GENERAL INFORMATION
Fifteen women's teams participate in Cross Country. There is no regular season competition required. The GSC conducts a mandatory, single-site seperate championship two weeks prior to the NCAA Regional. The team with the best score wins the championship provided they have at least five runners who finish the course. The top finisher is Individual Champion while the top freshman finisher is the Freshman of the Year. The 1st-10th finishers are tabbed First Team All-GSC, while 11th-20th are Second Team All-GSC.

The 2009 GSC Women's Cross Country Championship will be held at Veteran's Park in the Birmingham suburb of Hoover, Alabama.
