The Best Sports Betting Podcasts to Boost Your Wagering Experience

microphone

Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular in today’s fast-paced world. Listening to expert audio products has many benefits. It helps you delve into a topic and explore it in detail without taking you away from your daily tasks. For instance, you can listen to podcasts while you drive in your car or ride the public transportation. You can do so when jogging or walking your dog, too. Let us not forget that podcasts are also ideal to make household chores and other mindless tasks much more bearable. Overall, listening to podcasts is both entertaining and useful, as it helps you have fun while learning new things.

Why Listen to Sports Betting Podcasts?

You might be asking yourself why we recommend listening to sports betting podcasts given all the self-improvement tools available to players today. Well, sports betting podcasts can be handy in many ways, and if you use them smartly, you can gain a competitive edge over other players.

Authentic Expertise

To begin with, the podcasts we recommend are authored by real-life professionals with many years of experience and significant expertise in the world of sports wagering. They go on air to share their insight and know-how as well as a unique, personalized approach that you can hardly find elsewhere.

In comparison, when you read sports betting articles on online media, you can seldom be completely sure about the author’s expertise. For all you know, the writer could be a college student trying to make some money on the side by recycling common, well-familiar information into “professional advice.”

Therefore, sports betting podcasts are much more authentic, and their content is far more reliable. In addition, podcasts are usually not monologues but active and vibrant conversations. Typically, the host would invite one or more guests to provide their take on a certain topic. Thus, you get access to even more quality expert advice.

Trustworthy and Reliable Information

Another very important benefit is the fact that most sports betting podcasts present only trustworthy and reliable information. After all, the authors and the hosts stand with their names and faces in front of the audience, thus vouching for its credibility.

In contrast, this is not always the case with traditional sports betting media. For instance, lots of websites and other wagering media outlets go as far as to make up author personalities to present misleading and tainted information. Unfortunately, the readers have no way to check its credibility.

Unique Approach

Another great thing about sports betting podcasts is that the content is entirely influenced by the author’s persona. Thus, instead of dry facts, you get lots of personalized information served in a unique manner. Besides, to tell you the truth, some of the most popular sports betting podcast hosts are quite entertaining and know how to crack a joke. Thus, you can learn new things and enjoy yourself at the same time.

Betting Offers on Lacrosse

Some Interesting Betting Offers on Lacrosse

Speaking of GSC sports, lacrosse definitely stands out as a growing field that offers more and more betting opportunities. If the name is new to you, then I can best describe it as a mix between European soccer and traditional hockey – it is played on grass, with a stick, and requires a lot of running and shoving. You probably haven’t paid much attention to it up until now, and you would be forgiven because it is rather obscure – however, the attention towards it has steadily been growing in youth leagues, especially towards female lacrosse.

I’ve routinely been browsing the best betting offers I find from the bookies listed at www.bestbettingbonuses.co.uk, and I’ve been noticing more and more lacrosse propositions popping up. It is safe to assume that betting operators will be paying more and more attention to this sport, especially here in the US where it’s really kicking off. Of course, it will be some time before it starts grabbing headlines like eSports seem to be.

Ancient LacrosseSo, what should you know before you start betting on lacrosse? Well, it’s not very different from other sports, even though its development has been following an interesting direction. It is actually one of the oldest sports around, since it is based on an ancient Native American game – yeah, you read that correctly! European settlers modified it greatly, of course, but in its essence this sport is as American as it gets!

Lacrosse is played by two teams, with the players using the aptly-named lacrosse sticks to carry, pass, catch and shoot the ball. There is a goal, with a penalty area called a “crease” around it which players can’t enter. The goalkeepers are the only ones allowed to touch the ball with hands – and since the game is played on grass rather than ice, it will be a little more recognizable for fans of soccer rather than hockey, though both sports hold certain similarities with it.

As far as betting goes, since lacrosse still hasn’t gone mainstream, moneyline seems to be your best option. Except on the winner of the match, you could also bet on how many goals would be scored (over/under), or on a spread – as you may have noticed with other sports, a spread allows you to bet on only on who will win, but also by how much. The major tournaments at this stage seem to be the World Championship and the European Championship which are held every four years, the National Lacrosse League in Canada, the Major League Lacrosse in the USA, and the NCAA Lacrosse which features college games and has by far the most participants.

Keeping track of the major teams is easy since there aren’t that many of them, but there is a constant influx of young debutants from the college teams, and to truly stay abreast you need to pay avid attention there. Currently lacrosse isn’t doing too well, since professional players are among the worst paid sportsmen. However, the picture is quite different at youth levels – the exclusive college programs and the growing popularity of lacrosse has actually been causing a stir among softball and baseball coaches, since the best young talents are gradually shifting their attention to the dynamic game.

This bodes well for the future of lacrosse, and the increased exposure will surely lead to more professional teams appearing, and more betting opportunities as well. With women’s lacrosse being popular as it is, this is also an exhilarating proposition for up and coming female athletes to leave their mark in the sport history! I will keep you posted on any new developments and opportunities as soon as I find them!

Softball – A Simple Guide to the Rules and Betting on the Sport

smokingDuring my time at college in the states, I watched a lot of different sports. One which stood out and became a firm favourite of mine was softball. Nowadays, I continue to watch games whenever I can and I also enjoy betting on the sport.

Softball is similar to baseball in many ways, and was originally created as an indoor version of the sport back in 1887. In recent years, it has become hugely popular and there are major softball leagues throughout the USA and many other countries worldwide. You will even find softball at the Olympic games.

Yet there are many people who know very little about the sport. So in this post, I want to give you an overview of the sport. This is a very brief beginners guide to softball. Find out about the rules of the game and all you need to know to be able to bet on it.

Basic Overview of the Rules

There are 2 main types of softball; slow pitch and fast pitch. As the name suggests, the pace at which the ball is pitched differs, plus, you will find 9 players per team in slow-pitch softball, with 10 per team in the fast-pitch version.

Softball shares common traits with baseball. Yet the major differences are that the ball is pitched underhand, the ball is bigger and the field is smaller. Softball has 7 innings, with the visiting team batting in the first half of each innings. Each half innings is played until the fielding team successfully put out 3 batters or base runners. The object of the game is to score more runs than the opposing team.

There are 4 bases in the shape of a diamond in the infield and in the centre is the pitchers mound and the “rubber”, from where the pitcher delivers the ball. The batter must make it around all bases to achieve a run. Again, like baseball, the batter is out if three strikes are called.

Aside from the pitcher, the other positions include outfielders, who are positioned beyond the infield. There are also basemen positioned on the first, second and third bases. The catcher plays behind the home plate, in a semi-crouched position to receive pitches thrown to the batter.

Betting on Softball

Many top online sportsbooks offer the option to bet on softball. Popular operators such as William Hill and bet365 provide the chance to place a selection of bets, including a head to head; a bet on which of the 2 teams in a particular game will win. You simply need to look for the sport within the sports betting website to see the available bets.

It is worth noting that odds will only be available at online bookies when there are major softball tournaments or competitions upcoming or currently taking place. You will often find that when major tournaments are in swing, there will be a variety of bonuses and promotions to take advantage of too. When there are exciting softball betting opportunities and special offers available, needless to say, I will keep you posted on this blog!

Betting on GSC Sports and More!

softballHi there, welcome to my new blog, thanks for stopping by to take a look. My page is dedicated to sports betting. Now hold on a second…. Before you roll your eyes and think “oh, yet another football betting blog” let me elaborate a little further. This is not your generic, run of the mill sports betting blog. It will explore lesser known sports betting opportunities. The ones you may have seen available at online sportsbooks but have simply skimmed past.

Let me tell you a little more about myself and my reasons for creating this page. A few years back, I moved to Pensacola to study business at the University of West Florida. I quickly discovered that sport was not just a hobby for students at this uni, but more a way of life.

You see, the university boasts an impressive athletic program. The West Florida Argonauts are comprised of 16 NCAA sports teams. With a range of men’s and women’s teams participating against other college teams in sports such as baseball, soccer, football, basketball, softball, volleyball and more, there was always plenty of opportunities to get behind our teams and support them as they played in the Gulf South Conference.

Now I am not a keen sports player myself, however, I do love watching a range of sports. My time in the states introduced me to a variety of exciting games that I had not previously taken an interest in. Since moving back to the UK, I regularly watch football and rugby, and love to have a bet on them. Yet what really makes me buzz is betting on the more obscure sports which I discovered when I was in the states.

If you enjoy sports betting and are looking to inject more excitement into your wagers, then stick around. I will explore sports such as softball, La Crosse, American Football and more. I will give you useful overviews of these sports and how you can bet on them. If you already know what sports you want to bet on, then you will also find useful tips on how to find the best deals online. Come back soon for useful guides, sporting news and more!
