ATU's Jessica Weatherford named Freshman All-American

Four GSC women's basketball players - Delta State's Veronica Walker and Sarita "Bug" Cooper and Arkansas Tech's Jenny Vining and Jessica Weatherford - earned All-American honors from Women's DII Bulletin.

Walker was named Second Team All-American and Vining was a Fourth Team All-American. Cooper was an Honorable Mention selection while Weatherford was tabbed for the All-Freshman team.

All four have received several postseason honors this season. Walker, Cooper and Vining were First-Team All GSC West picks and Weatherford was chosen GSC West Freshman of the Year and Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA South Region tournament.
