Two-time defending GSC Champion Valdosta State suffered just its second loss of the season, falling to Barry in the 2010 NCAA Men's Tennis Finals, 5-4.
In a battle versus South Region Champions, VSU led 2-1 exiting doubles action and were up 4-2 in singles play, before BU rallied back and clinched the win in a 7-4 tiebreaker at No. 5 singles.
The loss was the Blazers second versus the Buccaneers this season and marked the third runner-up finish for Valdosta State.
