PENSACOLA, Fla. - A GSC powerhouse continued its dominance over the league's women's soccer landscape.

Top-seeded West Florida (19-0-0, 7-0-0 GSC) claimed its sixth GSC women's soccer championship and second consecutive title with a win over No. 2 seed North Alabama Sunday, 4-1. The Argonauts defeated the Lions (18-3-1, 6-1-0 GSC) for the second time this season, running their winning streak to 19 in a row. UWF got on the board quickly with two goals in the first 23 minutes by senior forward Shaneka Gordon. UNA responded in the 55th minute as Stephanie Bradshaw found the back of the net off a corner kick from GSC Player of the Year Chloe Roberts. The Argos quickly recaptured the momentum after senior Dernelle Mascall calmly put home a penalty kick less than two minutes later, wrapping up the new league record for women's soccer championships.
